Brother Jimmy

“ Lord, use me or I die”. That has been the heart cry of Brother Jimmy. He is a teacher by profession who was born again under Reinhard Bonnke’s Crusade.

Talking about zeal he could be rated super. In his school in an area in Kigali nearly every student has had an encounter with Jesus. “I am not a Pastor. I am only a vessel in my master’s hands “

Those were the words from Brother Jimmy’s mouth. He was saintly than a saint and never missed any church functions. Academically he has a Master’s degree in Mathematics. What a noble profession. He was loved by his Parish priest and some parishioners while some saw him as an attention seeker. Such is the paradox of life.

His fame became undeniable in his parish and beyond but, some group of brethren out of jealousy tried to sabotage his popularity and dent his image by trying to conspire against him. The leadership of the denomination was swayed by this conspiracy and limited his activities in church. Bro Jimmy was stressed. He was shocked by the kind of evil intentions of the so called brethren.

Little by little his love for the things of God dwindled. He eventually committed suicide because of the disappointment in the parish.
